Christ the Redeemer is a world famous granite statue that overlooks Rio with his arms outstretched on the top Corvocado Mountain. The statue is visible throughout most parts Rio during the day and night. It's 120 feet high and was designed by Paul Landowski, a French sculptor. It was paid for by contributions from Rio citizens. The distance between the hands is 92 feet and the total weight of statue and base is 1,145 tons.
Above is Heather walking around the back of the Christ Statue. Kind of looks like it's the edge of the world.
Below is a picture of me, and Ipanema behind me. Ipanema is the most expensive place in Rio, parly because they have beatiful beaches on one side, and the bay on the other.
