In the Summer of 2003, I was in Costa Rica for 12 days of exploring and adventuring. I spent a lot of time travelling, stayed in some cheap hostels, and some more expensive resorts, Saw the bach, the volcanoes, wildlife, rain forrests, and tried very hard to speak spanish.
Rafting down the Pacare River
Our first trip was a day trip down the Pacare River. It was just a few hours at most from San Jose. This river is known for being one of the most scerenic White Water Rafting rivers in the world. But I tell you, it was also a pretty tough run.
These Class IV rapids tossed me out of the boat twice and gave me quite a workout. It was an all day trip with a lunch break on a small beach.
Most of these shots were taken by one of the group leaders.
